Responsibilities

  1. Efficiently operate the slitting machine in accordance with established production and waste benchmarks.
  2. Ensure the production of high-quality products that are validated by the quality assurance team and adhere to the defined quality standards.
  3. Diagnose any machine issues that may arise, communicate them to the shift supervisor, and collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve them with minimal downtime.
  4. Maintain the operational health of the machine while adhering to industrial safety protocols, food safety regulations, and personal hygiene standards during operation.
  5. Accountable for the daily tracking of raw material consumption and the output of printed materials by the end of each shift.
  6. Follow the established HR protocols for plant entry and exit, as well as disciplinary measures.
  7. Promote and uphold a clean and safe working environment.

Performance Metrics

  1. Monitor actual production against set targets on a daily and monthly basis, ensuring efficient and quick setup.
  2. Track actual process waste against targets, ensuring that finished products meet or exceed customer expectations.
  3. Review internal and external quality complaints related to produced items on a daily and monthly basis.
  4. Monitor external quality complaints and product rejections post-sale within established norms.
  5. Adhere to personal and industrial safety regulations.
  6. Comply with Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety standards during machine operation.
  7. Engage in learning and training for machine operation under the guidance of a senior operator and reporting manager, with progress monitored monthly and quarterly.
  8. Foster positive relationships with team members and the reporting manager.

Qualifications

  1. Possess a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or an ITI certification, with 2-6 years of relevant industry experience.

Skills

  1. Proficient in mechanical knowledge.
  2. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with applications such as MS Office.
  3. Presentable demeanor.
  4. Strong and clear communication abilities.
