We are seeking a skilled Power BI Developer to join our analytics team at LINKFIELDS INNOVATIONS (PTY) LTD. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics and business intelligence, with specific experience in extracting data from an Oracle Data Warehouse and other sources.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Extract and transform data from an Oracle Data Warehouse and other sources for use in Power BI.
  • Create and manage data models and data transformations using Power Query and DAX.
  • Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and usability.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure the delivery of data solutions that meet business needs.
  • Integrate Power BI with other BI tools and data sources, including MicroStrategy and Informatica.
  • Provide support and training to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in all BI solutions.
  • Stay current with the latest Power BI features and updates, as well as industry trends in data analytics and business intelligence.

Qualifications:



  • Qualification in Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of Power BI projects.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
  • Experience with Oracle Data Warehouse, including SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools, particularly Informatica.
  • Exposure to MicroStrategy or other BI tools.

Advantageous:



  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).
  • Knowledge of Azure Data Services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Factory).
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
