Directorate Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced leader to join our team as the Director: Service Delivery Excellence & Rapid Response.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance our service delivery capabilities, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our programs, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong understanding of public administration principles and practices.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field, and at least 10 years of experience in leadership/management roles, with a focus on services delivery and monitoring.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

1. Contribute to the development of the department's strategic planning process;
2. Lead the directorate's Service Delivery Budget Implementation Planning (SDBIP) process;
3. Ensure sound financial planning and budgeting processes for the directorate;
4. Lead and facilitate the directorate's demand planning process;
5. Lead and facilitate the directorate's performance management planning process;
6. Lead and manage the development of the directorate's Personal Development Plans (PDP's) process;
7. Ensure effective and efficient directorate functions, processes, procedures, systems, and policies;
8. Lead the recruitment, selection and placement process for sourcing suitably qualified staff for the directorate;
9. Ensure effective and efficient procurement management in line with Supply Chain Management processes, legislative, regulatory, and policy framework;
10. Provide sound leadership for the achievement of the directorate's objectives;
11. Direct the delivery of the organizational development functions;
12. Implement good governance and effective risk management systems;
