About the Role:

The successful candidate will actively participate in clinical services through the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital and surrounding community clinics. They will also engage in research and publication in scientific journals, as well as network with relevant industry stakeholders. Additionally, they will contribute to community engagement, academic self-development, and administrative duties as delegated by the Head of Department.

Responsibilities:
  1. Teaching and practical training of undergraduate and postgraduate students in veterinary medicine.
  2. Clinical services through the Onderstepoort Veterinary Academic Hospital and surrounding community clinics.
  3. Research and publication in scientific journals.
  4. Networking with industry stakeholders.
  5. Community engagement and academic self-development.

Requirements:
  1. A BVSc or BVMCh degree or equivalent professional veterinary qualification.
  2. Registration with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC) as a Veterinarian.
  3. A minimum of three years of veterinary clinical experience predominantly in porcine health and production aspects.
  4. Evidence of continued professional development or education.
