The Academic Professional in Financial and Managerial Accounting will facilitate the learning process in Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting, Taxation, and related subject areas for students on our Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Accountancy programmes. This role will also involve supervision at postgraduate level.
Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Learning
- Develop and deliver course material, lectures, and tutorials for students on our Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Accountancy programmes.
- Set and moderate assessments to evaluate student learning.
- Research and Scholarship
- Conduct research and scholarly activities to contribute to the creation of knowledge in the field of Financial and Managerial Accounting.
- Professional Engagement
- Engage with professional bodies and other stakeholders to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Administrative Duties
- Perform related administrative duties to support the smooth operation of the department.
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
- Hold a relevant NQF Level 9 qualification (Masters) with Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, or Taxation as core.
- Have at least three years of lecturing experience on both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Have a sound research portfolio.
- Be a Professional Accountant (South Africa), Chartered Accountant (South Africa), or Chartered Managerial Accountant (CMA) in good standing with the relevant professional body.
