The eDiscovery Analyst will spearhead and oversee eDiscovery projects, offering expert advice and support to legal teams and clients. This position entails managing the administration of eDiscovery tools, employing advanced data analytics, and ensuring adherence to best practices in data processing, collection, culling, and document review.

• Develop and execute data culling strategies, utilizing advanced analytics and assisted review across various eDiscovery platforms.
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of the entire EDRM Model lifecycle.
• Administer document review platforms, including the creation of coding panels, conducting searches, batching documents, generating search term reports (STR), developing workflows, clustering, and producing production sets.
• Conduct quality control and assurance on production sets before delivery.
• Utilize the eDiscovery platforms' password Bank to decrypt password-protected files during inventory, discovery, and basic and native imaging.
• Provide technical support related to the review platform, including user and admin training sessions and troubleshooting technical challenges.
• Assist in formulating and implementing best practices for data processing, advanced analytics, and document review project management.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in eDiscovery, offering guidance and support to legal teams and clients.
• Stay informed about the latest trends and technologies in eDiscovery and integrate them into operational workflows.
• Lead and mentor a team of eDiscovery professionals, ensuring high performance and ongoing development.
• Manage legal projects from inception to successful completion, including project scoping and execution.
• Collaborate with Cognia's Delivery team to understand client challenges and requirements, delivering practical and innovative solutions.
• Facilitate team briefings and training sessions, including material creation and execution.
• Effectively manage teams of over 10 resources, ensuring productivity and maintaining high-quality standards.
• Proactively identify and address risks, issues, and changes throughout project lifecycles.
• Skillfully manage stakeholder relationships to promote collaboration and understanding.
• Lead post-project evaluations and close-out activities for continuous improvement.
• Maintain control over project scope and budget to meet client expectations.
• Manage relationships with clients, end-clients, and other external stakeholders.
• Plan, organize, and oversee the delivery of work, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Develop new project management tools and methodologies to enhance delivery efficiency.
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously as required.

• Law degree from a recognized South African or UK/EU tertiary institution.
• Certification in Relativity is preferred; however, certification in other leading eDiscovery platforms will be considered.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in data culling, analytics, and utilizing various eDiscovery platforms.
• Ability to comprehend and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the capability to analyze data and produce insightful reports using Power BI.
