Head Pastry Support Specialist

As an Executive Assistant to the Head Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for providing administrative and organizational support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative and organizational support to the Head Pastry Chef.
- Scheduling, appointments, and travel arrangements on behalf of the Head Pastry Chef.
- Communications, including emails and phone calls, on behalf of the Head Pastry Chef.
- Procurement of ingredients, equipment, and supplies for the pastry section.
- Coordination with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality control of materials.
- Reports, order forms, and inventory tracking for the pastry department.
- Event planning and special projects related to pastry preparation.
- Ensuring all pastry-related operational tasks are running smoothly and on schedule.
- Documentation related to culinary recipes, ingredient specifications, and food safety standards.
Requirements:
- A degree or qualification in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
- Hospitality experience: A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Procurement experience: Demonstrated experience in procurement, preferably within a kitchen or foodservice environment.
- A personal vehicle for travel purposes related to procurement and other duties.
- Effective communication with suppliers, team members, and senior management.
- Time management and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A self-starter who can handle confidential information with discretion.
- Previous experience working with chefs or in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with kitchen inventory and order management systems.
