About the Role:

  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure efficient operation of facilities and equipment.
  • Manage the distribution of maintenance staff for projects and operations.
  • Plan, manage, and improve maintenance operations, including plant and equipment, utilities, and facilities engineering systems.
  • Develop and maintain a structured process to select appropriate maintenance tactics and develop detailed maintenance plans.
  • Ensure that utility services for sites are sufficient and well-maintained to support operational requirements.

Key Performance Areas:

  1. Management of Financial Objectives: Develop long-range capital improvement plans, prepare annual budgets, and manage capital expenditure budget in accordance with management guidelines.
  2. Management of Maintenance Function: Plan, manage, and improve maintenance operations, including plant and equipment, utilities, and facilities engineering systems.
  3. Customer and Stakeholder Relations: Engage key stakeholders and contractors to develop a plan to address various stakeholders' requirements and concerns.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that maintenance operations comply with all applicable legislation and accreditation standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office suites).
  • SAP experience (ideal requirement).
  • 5 years managerial experience with 3 years' experience in Maintenance and/or Engineering.
