About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Maintenance Director to lead our Maintenance team at South African National Blood Service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, with expertise in planning, organizing, and executing maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all facilities and equipment, ensuring they are properly maintained and functioning optimally.
  • Manage a team of maintenance staff, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of facilities and equipment.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making recommendations for process changes as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and improving maintenance processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
