About the Opportunity:



As a key member of our team at Rosstone, we are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Engineer to lead our vehicle testing and development efforts.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Plan, organize, and control groups of vehicles on endurance tests

  • Accurately identify, analyze, and report on problems encountered during testing

  • Prepare and analyze measured test data for test vehicles

  • Compile detailed vehicle test reports and results

  • Ensure special test requirements are met to ensure release milestones

  • Liaise with local and overseas engineers on vehicle tests and development



Requirements:





  • Minimum National Diploma/Bachelors Degree in a suitable engineering field (Electrical/Electronic or Mechatronics preferred)

  • Minimum of 1 year relevant experience in the automotive industry

  • Have extensive knowledge of and be able to evaluate the total vehicle and its operation

  • Exposure to testing and measuring vehicles, with a good understanding of the operation and functioning of an automobile

  • Understanding of technical engineering concepts and design, physics, electronics, and measurement

  • Be able to speak, read, and write English (German would be advantageous)

  • Competent in MS Office (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)

  • Possess an unendorsed Code 08 driver's license

  • Have at least 5 years of driving experience

  • Working knowledge of vehicle electronic communication systems

  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

  • Be flexible regarding working times

  • Be a team player, yet demonstrate the ability to operate independently and apply own initiative accordingly

  • Exhibit a solution-oriented approach, with the necessary resolve and ability to operate effectively under pressure to meet set deadlines

  • Will to travel nationally and internationally
