Senior Buyer Opportunity

The Recruiters is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Buyer to join their procurement team in the consumer electronics and home appliance sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the procurement process for assigned categories, including sales and margin management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and supply chain risks to inform procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, and marketing.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in procurement processes and practices.
  • Manage and develop junior team members.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field / Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • 5+ years experience in the above role within in the electronics or appliance sector with specific experience in procurement technology and systems.
  • Experience with range management and product selection.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, think strategically, and drive results.
  • Experience with category management, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
  • Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Dynamic and Flexible.
  • Ability to work with different and all divisions in the space.
  • Team player with a passion for products and appliances.
  • Experience in range selection and management.
