About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Specialist to join our team in the motor vehicle industry. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for advancing sales for advanced product offerings, providing project assistance, and leading sales efforts.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Driving Sales Growth: Focus on promoting error proofing, software, and automation solutions to drive sales growth.
  2. Project Execution: Collaborate with the Project Manager to execute key projects efficiently.
  3. Sales Leadership: Lead sales efforts for workstation products, error proofing, software automation, and other technology solutions.
  4. Collaboration and Teamwork: Work with Business Managers and the Service Division to achieve sales targets and ensure smooth project delivery.
  5. Customer Engagement: Conduct presentations and demos at customer sites to build strong relationships.
  6. Adaptability and Flexibility: Maintain flexibility to support the team and business needs.
  7. Meeting and Strategy Participation: Engage in regular meetings and strategy sessions to align with business goals.
  8. Supplier and Customer Relationships: Collaborate with suppliers for efficient processes and focus on driving customer satisfaction.
  9. CRM Management: Manage interactions and data using the CRM platform.
  10. Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with industry trends.
  11. Travel Requirements: Weekly travel within South Africa; occasional international trips may be required.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
  1. Certificate in Engineering and/or Diploma in Engineering.
  2. Engineering Degree is advantageous.
  3. Experience in manufacturing/automation environment and working with projects.
  4. Technical sales ability.
  5. Knowledge of LAN/Wireless network topology, database structures, and production line networks.
  6. Some experience in AutoCAD/designing is an advantage.
  7. Software skills (MS Office software, SAP, CRM).
  8. Dynamic, result-oriented, and self-motivating.
  9. Organizational, planning, and follow-up skills.
  10. Team player and open-minded.
  11. Fluency in English.
  12. Valid Driver's license.
