Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, and driving business growth through effective sales strategies. Your main responsibilities will include:

Main Responsibilities
  • Meet monthly revenue targets set by the Head of Sales or Regional Director.
  • Achieve commission targets.
  • Achieve 1 x CTC in GP - new sales per month.
  • Meet productivity/activity targets.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships with prospect and existing clients.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  1. Responsible for meeting the set budgetary targets.
  2. Meet monthly revenue targets set by the Head of Sales or Regional Director.
  3. Achieve commission targets.
  4. Achieve 1 x CTC in GP - new sales per month.
  5. Meet productivity/activity targets.
  6. Make 50 new sales calls per week.
  7. Attend 5 new appointments per week.
  8. Make 10 follow-up/courtesy calls per week.
  9. Ensure that 4 Quotes are submitted per week.
  10. Ensure that 5 new accounts are opened per month.
  11. Draft and deliver proposals, prepare costings and create client propositions, in conjunction with General Manager: Sales or Regional Sales Director.
  12. Accurately assess clients' needs and present Company solutions to adequately match those needs.
  13. Ensure that quotations are delivered to clients within 12 to 24 hours of receipt of request.
  14. Ensure the current sales/CRM system is updated before midnight, daily.
  15. Deliver excellent customer service and provide services to the client in a timely, professional and pleasant manner.
  16. Maintain the values of the Organization in all interactions.
  17. Monitor, follow up and ensure resolution to all client queries within a 24-hour timeframe.
  18. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships with prospect and existing clients.
  19. Ensure that all sales are achieved in an ethical manner.
  20. Adhere to the stipulations of the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Stakeholder Engagement Policies.
  21. Ensure that completed daily, weekly and/or monthly reports are submitted to the Head of Sales in the correct format and timeously.
  22. Ensure compliance in respect of the relevant policies, procedures and ISO standards.
  23. Ensure that the client is aware of Company procedures to ensure timeous payment of workers and our invoices.
  24. All TOB and SLA must be discussed with the client.
  25. Ensure that all Quotations, OC, TOB and SLAs are signed, sent to the relevant parties for processing and filed appropriately.
  26. Liaise with Debtors Department in terms of outstanding monies/account queries and follow up with client to ensure payment is received.
  27. Assist when an account is escalated by the BM/GM/Regional Director.
  28. Attend sales meetings as and when required, including weekly meetings set up by the Head of Sales.
  29. Keep well informed on all relevant legislation, policies and processes.
  30. Attend training sessions as and when required.
  31. Ensure that the operational handover is done correctly, so that contract workers and clients' needs are met.
  32. Completion of the movement documents for every account opened.
