Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Financial Leader to join our team in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, hyper growth environment where you will be responsible for leading financial decision-making and driving business success.

About the Role
  • Salary: R 1,200,000 - R 1,800,000 per annum

As a key member of our Group Finance team, you will be responsible for designing and building financial reports that facilitate business decision-making and enable us to meet our financial and strategic objectives. You will also be responsible for seeking out opportunities for automation through review and redesign of existing processes and reports.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to analyze and manage cost control initiatives in line with budget and plan, monitor and manage capital expenditure spend, and plan cash flow. You will also understand business processes to identify areas for improvement/streamlining through gaining an understanding of dependencies, systems, automation risks and challenges within the finance team.

You will perform analysis to provide insights into areas of risk and opportunity to influence strategies and decisions. Additionally, you will participate in special projects as needed to provide analytical and decision support on new initiatives.

Requirements
  • Relevant financial degree/qualification
  • 3+ Years relevant experience in an analytical/finance role
  • CIMA / CA (SA) Advantageous
  • Knowledge of accounting, financial reporting and financial analysis acquired through related work experience
  • High proficiency in advanced Excel
  • Basic SQL and advantageous
  • Exposure to existing systems (Oracle, TM1, Looker, Qlik, Sage, PowerBI) and advantageous
