Social Worker: Professional Services Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team in providing professional services to vulnerable individuals, groups, and communities.
Key Responsibilities- Render social work services to promote the care, support, protection, and development of vulnerable populations.
- Attend to matters resulting from social instability and provide support to individuals, families, and communities.
- Supervise and support social auxiliary workers to ensure effective service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with new developments in social work and social welfare fields to inform practice.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work and registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions.
- Experience in social work, with a minimum of years of experience for Grade 2 and above.
- Valid Code B or higher driving license (or reasonable access to transport).
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policy, and prescripts.
- Understanding of human behavior and social systems.
- Skills in social work theory and interventions, information management, and protocol and professional ethics.
- Ability to promote social well-being, challenge structural sources of poverty, and empower individuals and communities.
Grade 1: R – R per annum, Grade 2: R – R per annum, Grade 3: R – R per annum, Grade 4: R – R per annum (OSD as prescribed).
Note: Cost-to-employer remuneration packages include all costs related to service benefits or obligations.
Selection ProcessShortlisted candidates will undergo interviews and competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
