The Western Cape Government is seeking independent, suitably qualified individuals to serve as members on its Audit Committees. The WCG has 3 Cluster Audit Committees: Governance, Innovation and Culture Cluster, Jobs Cluster, and Wellbeing Cluster.

Audit Committee Members are appointed in their personal capacities as committee members under the provisions of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), not as employees. Appointment will be for a three-year term with remuneration aligned to a tariff approved by the relevant Accounting Officer.

Please note that employees of National, Provincial, and Local Governments or Institutions, Agencies, and Entities of Government serving on Commissions or Committees of Inquiry or Audit Committees are not entitled to additional remuneration.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Salary: Estimated salary range R600,000 - R800,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
