The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Learning & Development, with a focus on designing and delivering high-impact training programs that drive business results. The successful incumbent will be responsible for assessing training needs, creating customized learning solutions, and evaluating program effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To identify and address skill gaps within the organization through the design and delivery of training sessions
  • Create comprehensive L&D programs aligned with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration with existing processes
  • Ensure employees have access to continuous learning opportunities, promoting personal and professional growth
  • Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, leveraging metrics to measure program success
  • Prioritize training initiatives to achieve targeted outcomes, driving business growth and improvement
  • Maintain a culture of excellence within the L&D function, upholding quality, cost-effectiveness, and value-added services
  • Research emerging trends and best practices in Learning & Development, informing innovative approaches to training and development
  • Implement new training processes and systems to enhance efficiency, record-keeping, and evaluation
  • Review existing training offerings, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and competitiveness
  • Design role-specific training profiles, identifying essential and non-essential training requirements
  • Analyze training records to identify areas for improvement, informing targeted interventions
  • Coordinate and assign relevant training to employees, aligning with their roles and responsibilities
  • Establish and implement a comprehensive training schedule, setting review dates and future development opportunities
  • Develop tailored training plans for new starters, allocating required induction programs
  • Collaborate with managers to determine training needs for specific roles, providing expert advice and guidance
  • Partner with stakeholders to review and refine learning interventions, focusing on technical competencies, leadership development, and personal effectiveness
  • Sources and arranges internal and external training to address competency gaps
  • Tracks and reports on training KPIs, including costs, hours spent, number of delegates trained, budget, and course/qualification delivery
  • Evaluates feedback and effectiveness of all training, distributing quality reports to key stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Higher certificate or post-secondary certificate
  • Licenses, certificates, and registrations (relevant certifications and professional memberships)
  • Minimum Grade 12 required, with either L&D or Training equivalent (OD-ETDP) qualification an essential requirement
  • Train the Trainer accreditation is essential for this role
  • Registered assessor is a relevant job requirement
  • Project management is desirable
