About the Role

As a pharmacist at Dis-Chem Pharmacies, your primary duties will include:

* Evaluating patients' medicine-related needs and determining the appropriate course of treatment
* Dispensing medications and scheduled substances on prescription
* Signing off and checking prescriptions prepared by assistants or interns
* Furnishing information and advice to patients regarding medication use
* Determining patient compliance with therapy and following up to ensure their needs are met

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills:

* A Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree or equivalent qualification
* Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC)
* At least 2-3 years of experience in retail pharmacy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong command of English and a second language
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Basic dosing and drug interaction knowledge
* Customer service focus and supervisor experience
* Conflict management and problem-solving skills
* Attention to detail and numerical skills
