We are looking for an experienced Armature Winder/Electrical Fitter to join our team in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a range of tasks related to electrical motors, including testing, winding, and rewinding.

About the Role:

This is a permanent position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a variety of electrical motors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test runs on electrical motors
  • Takes AC data on windings of an electrical motor
  • Cleans cores of electrical motors
  • Cuts insulation
  • Winds coils
  • Rewinds stators
  • Rewinds rotors
  • Applies dope
  • Cleans cores

Requirements:

  • Trade Tested Artisan (Armature Winder / Electrical Fitter or Trade Test with Armature exp.)
  • 5-7 years++ experience
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and professionally
  • Capacity to work without supervision, under pressure
  • Able to work long hours/overtime/weekends etc. as required by the operation
  • Medically fit & healthy (sober-minded)
  • Newcastle residency required
