As a key member of the Wild Dreams Hospitality team, the Senior Human Resources Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving the organization’s HR strategy and initiatives. With a focus on talent acquisition and development, this position will be responsible for attracting, retaining, and developing top talent to drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • HR Management: Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures to support the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Development and Staff Management: Lead the development and implementation of training programs, performance management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Succession Planning: Identify, develop, and retain key talent to ensure continuity and succession within the organization.
  • Staff Wellness and Events: Foster a positive work environment and promote staff well-being through initiatives such as wellness programs, team-building events, and recognition programs.
  • Establish and support community partnerships: Develop and maintain relationships with external partners to support the organization’s community engagement and social responsibility initiatives.

This is a live-in position, with a cycle of 6 weeks on-site and 2 weeks off. Accommodation and meals are provided on-site.

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience in a senior HR management position
  • Strong knowledge of local legislation and labor law
  • Sound knowledge of HR and Training Administration processes and procedures
  • Sound experience with instruction or training
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of cultural diversity
  • Sound knowledge of motivational and inspirational techniques, emotional intelligence, and wellness programs
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • SAGE 300 People experience (beneficial)
  • Experience using an ATS for recruitment (beneficial)
  • Sound knowledge and experience with disciplinary procedures and the CCMA
  • A sound understanding and experience working with Labour Unions
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Guest focus philosophy
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), practicing honest communication
  • Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control
