Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Director to join our team at Abantu Staffing Solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects to ensure successful delivery within budget and timeframe.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project management experience in the automotive industry, with a strong understanding of project planning, execution, and control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Strategy: Develop and implement project strategic plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Project Initiation: Identify opportunities for improvements and conduct feasibility studies to establish project viability.
  • Project Planning: Schedule project activities and coordinate project life cycle phases to ensure effective project execution.
  • Design & Drawing: Approve internal and external drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Project Management: Support project teams to deliver project objectives and contribute to risk management within own field of expertise.
  • Project Administration: Implement project administration processes and conduct project documentation management to support project processes.
  • Policies and Procedure: Initiate and approve project policies, procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Conduct research and development of new technologies and benchmark project processes against best practices.
  • Reporting: Compile project reports and presentations to provide regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Financial Management: Provide input into the budget process and monitor performance against budget to ensure financial accountability.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a project management role in the automotive industry.
  • A recognized qualification in project management (e.g., PMI) or a bachelor's degree in business and project management or engineering.
  • Certification as a project manager is an advantage.

Estimated Salary Range:

R700,000 - R1,000,000 per annum depending on qualifications and experience.
