About the Role

African Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Capital Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans that drive business outcomes and foster a positive work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of human capital management principles and a proven track record of success in leading high-performing teams. You will collaborate with senior leaders to design and implement programs that enhance employee engagement, retention, and development.

Your expertise in talent management, succession planning, and performance management will enable you to develop and execute strategies that align with the bank's overall goals and objectives. You will also provide guidance on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, ensuring a fair and inclusive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing human capital strategies aligned with the bank's business objectives
  • Leading the design and implementation of talent management programs, including succession planning and performance management
  • Providing guidance on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Collaborating with senior leaders to develop and execute employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Analyzing data to identify opportunities for talent development and succession planning

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Professional certifications: SABPP HR Professional registration/ Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR/ SHRM)
  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in human capital and people management, ideally in a senior HC role
