Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to ensure the accuracy of stock being dispatched and received, while maintaining our governance and customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
  • Effective stock quality management through independent checks of loads and accurate recording of returns.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with Regional Logistics Manager, Warehouse Controller, and Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Conduct regular security audits and provide updates to the Regional Logistics Manager.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of emergency response plans and procedures.
Accurate Checking, Loading, and Unloading of Vehicles
  • Conduct independent checks of all loads to ensure correct quantities of split and full pallets.
  • Accurately record returns and maintain clear communication with Warehouse Supervisor and other team members.
  • Verify all documentation accurately and comprehensively.
  • Stay conversant with relevant business information, policies, processes, and procedures.
Health, Safety, and Environment
  • Maintain site housekeeping standards and adhere to designated personal protective equipment.
  • Collaborate with different departments to develop and implement security protocols and procedures.
Adherence to Food Safety Requirements
  • Commit to The Beverage Company's Food Safety policy and its objectives.
  • Understand and implement all food safety requirements.
  • Enforce Food Safety Policies, SOPs, and PRPs.
  • Comply with PPE requirements, including jewellery policy.
  • Comply with personal hygiene requirements in accordance with the organisation's code of practice.
  • Engage actively in all training, including competency testing.
  • Practice regular hand washing and sanitising.
  • Prevent cross-contamination of products, with no allergens allowed in the manufacturing facility.
  • Report any food safety risks to relevant personnel.
  • Report any illness or communicable disease before the commencement of shift.
  • Comply with all legal, regulatory, and customer requirements.
  • Enforce GMPs and conduct themselves in a manner conducive to food safety practices.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene of equipment, facilities, and work environment.
  • Remain informed and vigilant on food defence and food fraud risks.
  • Promote, encourage, and continuously grow the organisation's food safety culture.
  • Maintain zero compromise on product quality and safety.
  • Collaborate with internal food safety team to realise the organisation's goals of retaining GFSI certification and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Matric / NQF level 4 qualification.
  • NQF Level 6 relevant qualification.
  • 2-4 years FMCG experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and email communication.
