Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments
  • Process payroll and maintain payroll records, adhering to relevant laws and regulations
  • Prepare and process invoices, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance
  • Reconcile bank statements and handle banking transactions, ensuring financial accuracy and security
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Prepare financial reports and statements, providing insights into the firm's financial performance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance, promoting a culture of transparency and accountability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with a strong foundation in accounting principles and practices
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in the construction industry, with a strong understanding of accounting software and systems
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including Buildsmart, Pastel, and Sage
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain high standards in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients
