Job Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to assist with financial tasks, including bookkeeping, reconciliation, and payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks using Xero Accounting software
  • Reconcile client bank accounts and ensure accurate financial records
  • Process weekly and monthly payroll, including calculations and submissions
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulations
  • Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and resolve queries
  • Manage the team's diary and respond to client inquiries in a timely manner
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as required, including data entry and report generation

Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification: Bookkeeping/Accounting diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken English and written correspondence
  • Experience working with cloud-based accounting systems, preferably Xero
  • Stable internet connection and backup power
  • Proficiency in online computer applications and software
  • Deadline-driven and detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Xero certification
  • Experience in producing accounts, VAT returns, and year-end journals
