Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Total Quality Management (TQM) Specialist to join our team at Ampath Laboratories. As a TQM Specialist, you will be responsible for providing advisory support on quality and safety to business units, developing and implementing continuous audit readiness strategies, and promoting a proactive culture of quality and safety.
Main Responsibilities:
- Advise business units on resolving nonconformities and implementing corrective actions
- Assess and enhance quality and safety systems to uphold and improve standards
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of quality and safety systems to identify areas for improvement
- Develop quality and safety training content and train employees on quality management and safety requirements
- Partner with business units and implement strategies to ensure continuous readiness for audits
Requirements:
- HPCSA registration as a Medical Technologist
- Internal Auditing experience
- Qualified auditor certification
- Relevant Medical Technologist qualification
- Training in ISO 15189 Medical laboratories - requirements for quality and competence
Key Performance Indicators:
- Continuous improvement of quality and safety systems
- Effective implementation of audit readiness strategies
- Proactive culture of quality and safety among employees
