About the Role:

  • Support Quality Assurance Manager: Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in maintaining and improving the quality assurance processes within the organization.
  • Ensure Compliance with Industry Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for food safety management systems and quality control processes.
  • Manage Food Safety Incidents: Assist in managing food safety incidents and ensuring that traceability procedures are followed and tested annually.
  • Maintain Documentation: Maintain documented information and ensure that food safety records are completed adequately.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in maintaining and updating the organization's food safety management system.
  2. Ensure that product release requirements are met and verified.
  3. Compile certificates of conformance (COC) and address non-conformances through corrective and preventative actions.
  4. Oversee receiving inspections, including the collection of COCs and COAs.
  5. Assist in managing food safety incidents and ensuring that traceability procedures are followed and tested annually.
  6. Help with the identification, review, and update of information related to internal and external issues affecting the company.
  7. Support the communication and periodic updating of the food safety policy and objectives.
  8. Perform daily GMP checks throughout the facility and assist with despatch checks as needed.
  9. Supervise employees to ensure compliance with basic hygiene policies and prevent cross-contamination.
  10. Verify online quality control activities, including OPRPs, CCPs, and final product weights.
  11. Manage retention samples and conduct product quality control testing, including moisture, pH, and TPM.
  12. Conduct daily organoleptic testing and end-of-shelf-life testing on products.
  13. Oversee the completion of LP forms for spice packing and verify sachet weights regularly.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science or Related Field: A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience in Quality Assurance: A minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality assurance role within the food industry is required.
  • Excellent Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage various programs simultaneously, are essential.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams and external suppliers are required.

Salary: The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
