QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business, preferably with a recognized Purchasing Certification
  • At least 3 years of experience in procurement within an industrial setting (serial production or project-based)
  • Proven track record in managing and negotiating supplier contracts
  • Experience in the automotive sector is a plus
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain management and market analysis
  • Familiarity with sourcing strategies and methodologies (including make-or-buy assessments)
  • Comprehensive understanding of business operations, market trends, and dynamics
  • Awareness of legal and contractual considerations
  • Global perspective and mindset
  • Results-driven approach
  • Ability to influence stakeholders
  • Expertise in specific commodities (products, technologies, cost structures) and financial acumen

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the establishment of the supplier panel: contribute to the formulation and execution of the purchasing panel strategy for designated commodities, oversee supplier selection based on organizational criteria
  • Maintain and negotiate relationships with suppliers, with support from the division
  • Ensure the strategic panel is operational during the development phase (supplier nomination processes)
  • Lead and implement productivity enhancement initiatives
  • Establish guidelines for productivity sharing between suppliers and the organization
  • Oversee and enhance supplier quality and delivery metrics
  • Manage supplier insolvencies and implement corrective action plans
  • Develop and deploy tools aimed at improving overall productivity
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting of activities in accordance with established policies
