Job Description

The Starlite Aviation Group, a leading aviation training academy in South Africa, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Professional Flight Instructor to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced instructor with a strong background in flight training to teach students at our facility in Mossel Bay. The ideal candidate will have a Commercial Pilot's License (CPL) with a Ground Instructor Rating and a valid Instrument and Night Rating.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction to students, ensuring they meet the required standards and regulations. This includes preparing lesson plans, conducting ground and flight training sessions, and evaluating student progress.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct ground and flight training sessions in accordance with the Training Program Manual (TPM)
  • Instruct students on the FNPT II Simulator
  • Ensure compliance with all Company and South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of student performance and progress
Requirements:
  • CPL (H) with a Gr II Instructor Rating
  • Valid Instrument and Night Rating
  • R22, R44, Cabri G2 Instructor Ratings (desired)
  • Military background (advantageous)
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with experience, ranging from $45,000 to $60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
