Maternity Care Operations Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maternity Care Operations Specialist to join our team in Cape Town, WC. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational practices within the Maternity Unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong background in nursing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role within a maternity unit. They will possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, enabling them to effectively manage a diverse team. In-depth knowledge of maternity care best practices and legal guidelines is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead the Maternity Unit, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
- Supervise and support a team of nurses and healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement unit protocols and procedures in line with best practices.
- Maintain compliance with health care regulations and institutional policies.
- Oversee the administrative functions of the unit, including staffing, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Evaluate patient outcomes and develop quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote a collaborative and supportive work environment focused on team development.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have a Registered Nurse qualification with valid SANC registration. A commitment to continuous professional development and growth is also essential.
