Job Description

Job Title: Applications Manager – Corporate Service Solutions

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Applications Manager to join our team at IT Ridge Technologies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the delivery of corporate service solutions, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and aligned with our business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Planning: Develop short-term work plans in line with the Business Solutions and Technology Department (BSTD) strategy and business plans.
  • Workflow Management: Improve the workflow and application of processes, procedures, and systems.
  • Process Improvement: Provide advice on refining policies, processes, and systems and improve alignment with related divisional processes and systems.
  • Output Delivery: Manage and facilitate the delivery of division-specific outputs, including the timeous delivery of projects and the readiness of solutions to transition into operations.
  • Resource Optimization: Optimize resource use in the division, allocate work, manage the accountability of resources, and provide input into cost management.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure the timeous delivery of quality IT solutions in accordance with business requirement specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify gaps and inefficiencies in the work of the division, including governance and the management of risks and audit findings, and take specific actions for the implementation of improvements.
  • Performance Management: Manage, monitor, evaluate, and report on the quality, turnaround, and impact of the division's deliverables.
  • Performance Culture: Encourage a performance culture in the division, define performance expectations, and conduct effective performance management of direct reports.
  • Employee Development: Drive priority development for employees by promoting and supporting career management and the development of direct reports.
  • Innovation: Drive innovation and implement necessary changes to improve application processes and systems to align with global best practices.
  • IT Strategy Execution: Execute the IT strategy within the division.
  • Transformation: Drive the transformation of the Corporate Services systems through the implementation and maintenance of a secured and high-availability solution.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Honours degree in Computer Science (NQF 8) or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: 8 to 10 years' experience in an IT environment and 3 years' experience in managing corporate service solutions.
  • Technical Background: Technical background in an appropriate area, such as software development, infrastructure, or integration.
  • Industry Awareness: Industry, organizational, and business awareness.
  • Quality Assurance: Quality assurance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuous improvement.
  • Learning and Development: Continued learning and professional development.
  • Business Continuity: Business continuity planning.
