About the Job:
We are seeking a Brand Development Specialist to join our team at Promasidor. The successful candidate will have a strong background in branding and marketing, with experience in developing and implementing successful brand development strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive brand development strategies that align with business objectives.
- Lead the development and execution of brand awareness campaigns, analyzing results and identifying areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Channel Managers to grow Channel Partner reach in Southern Africa.
- Develop and execute brand-building strategies, including branding materials, advertising, public relations, and event marketing.
- Manage and execute all marketing campaigns, events, tradeshows, conferences, and product launches with sales and telemarketing teams.
- Create and publish all marketing material in line with marketing plans.
- Oversee the creation and publication of printed and online marketing material, including press/media releases, case studies, blogs, news updates, and others.
- Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly newsletters, and regional townhall content.
- Develop monthly product communications and campaigns.
- Ensure the effective management and oversight of websites, social media accounts, and daily postings.
- Oversight of corporate identity elements used by sales teams.
- Responsibility for brand management and corporate identity, ensuring company guidelines are adhered to.
- Monitor and report monthly on the effectiveness of all marketing activity, aligning with KPIs.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor activities, and business climate.
- Collaborate with sales teams to develop and maintain the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM).
- Engage with sales teams to meet ongoing needs, becoming the point of excellence for marketing for customer prospects and KCS SA staff engagement, across various business units.
- Work closely with and manage design and marketing agencies.
- Maintain effective internal communications, ensuring all relevant departments are informed of marketing communications and objectives.
- Analyze potential strategic partner relationships for joint company marketing.
- Evaluate and ensure the KCS SA presence keeps pace with changing market trends.
- Conduct business reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Prepare, monitor, and manage the marketing budget.
- Develop channel marketing programs for sales growth and revenue enhancement.
- Establish templates for sales proposals, whitepapers, reports, and others.
- Oversight and update of Partner Relationship Management (PRM).
- Support training and development with key initiatives.
- Perform other duties deemed necessary through discussion with management.
Requirements:
- Strong background in branding and marketing.
- Experience of developing and implementing successful brand development strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience of Marketing Automation software such as HubSpot, Marketo, or others.
- Good knowledge of marketing tactics and tools (social, print, media).
- Experience of SEO/SEM, PPC, and other Digital Marketing.
- Knowledge of ERP/CRM systems is advantageous.
- Creative, practical, and able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines with sales teams.
- High level of computer literacy, including spreadsheets (excellent Excel skills required), databases, and Internet.
- Ability to work in a team and experience of managing a team.
- Experience of channel marketing.
- Must be reliable, presentable, and professional in a customer-facing environment.
- Experience of copywriting and editing.
- Experience or knowledge of compiling and maintaining Marketing budgets.
- Degree/Diploma in Marketing Management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in the marketing industry.
- Exposure to African markets and Channel Partner networks.
- Sound knowledge of IT/ICT software marketing and best practice.
- A valid driver's license and own vehicle are essential for this role, as travel is required.
