Postdoctoral Research Fellowship: Education in School of General& Continuing Education

- Candidates must hold a Doctoral degree in Education, with a focus on Language in Education issues.
- Applicants should be open to relocation to the University of Fort Hare for the duration of the fellowship.
- Preference will be given to South African citizens, particularly women and permanent residents.
- Young and emerging scholars are encouraged to apply.
- Successful applicants will not be permitted to hold full-time salaried employment during the fellowship.
- The successful candidate will reside as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Fort Hare and participate in relevant activities of the Faculty of Education and the Department of Research and Innovation.
- They will co-author a minimum of 2 units per annum in DHET-accredited scholarly journal articles or chapters in accredited/credible commissioned books.
The postdoctoral research fellow will conduct innovative research and obtain evidenced-based empirical data on Language teaching and learning in South Africa. They will reside in East London to access facilities at the University of Fort Hare East London Campus and participate in relevant activities.
