Senior Application Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Application Support Specialist to join our team at Liyema Consulting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software installation, configuration, and conversion tools, as well as experience in analyzing application business needs and requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Application Support: Provide technical support for various applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
- Requirement Analysis: Analyze business needs and requirements to ensure applications meet organizational goals.
- Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain software packages and tools.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze application performance and identify bottlenecks.
- Documentation: Document application deployments, configurations, and processes.
- Application Modernization: Contribute to the modernization of applications to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Infrastructure and Network Support: Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and integration issues.
- Change Management: Plan and execute maintenance tasks, including change management processes.
- Agile Working Model: Contribute to the Agile Working Model charter and participate in Agile methodologies.
- Strong experience with software package installation, configuration, and conversion tools.
- Proven ability to analyze application business needs and requirements.
- Experience in analyzing application performance and working with software installation capture tools.
- Knowledge of application optimization techniques for server, desktop deployments, user experience, and published applications.
- Experience in documenting published application deployments.
- Familiarity with application modernization and ALM practices.
- Proficiency in legacy and modern installation methods.
- Strong understanding of general client and server operating systems.
- Experience with Windows Server and multisession desktop environments.
- Expertise in Windows Client (Windows 10 & 11) OS troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience with Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Proficiency in scripting languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and integration issues.
- Experience with VMware Workspace One Access.
- Familiarity with ITL processes (incident, change, and problem management).
- Experience with Citrix Netscaler (higher than 12.x) and Storefront.
- Experience with Citrix on VMware Hypervisor Stack (higher than VMware ESXI 6).
- Knowledge of cloud technologies and cloud providers.
- Experience with VDI technologies (Microsoft and VMware Horizon).
- Familiarity with Citrix XenServer (higher than 7.x).
- Experience with hyperconverged systems.
- Proficiency in additional scripting languages.
- Experience with monitoring systems.
- Knowledge of automated problem remediation techniques.
- Understanding of VMware Published Applications stack.
- Familiarity with REST API technology.
