The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for managing the delivery of both the short-term and longer-term national supply plans (i.e. replenishment, warehousing, and transport & up to 24-month horizon capacity planning in order to optimize customer service at mínimal cost, maximize profit in terms of product mix and facilitate the overall supply chain delivery of innovation.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
Strategy Execution
Work in conjunction with the Supply Chain Director and National Planning Manager to co-create the national supply chain strategy, based on a 1 to 5 year view of requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional management teams to ensure the delivery of an integrated supply chain benefit and strategic target achievement.
Anticipate supply risks and put contingencies in place to address them.
Drive a culture of “planning for profit” by ensuring an understanding of how planning influences optimal deployment through the network.
Deliver optimal customer service while maximising profitability and minimising supply chain costs. Inventory optimisation must be matched with transport cost minimisation.
Identify and drive the implementation of all process, system and structure changes required to ensure that planning is implemented successfully.

Supply Planning Management
Manage the national supply planning process across all distribution Centres to ensure the national supply plan is balanced against the demand plan, for the
next rolling 18-24 months.
Facilitate the overall delivery of the supply plan within Vector’s supply chain.
Ensure that customer demand is appropriately met through active management of days cover, by region and providing guidance on priorities,
both by SKU or customer, and by region.
Deliver optimal customer service while maximizing profitability and minimizing transport costs between regions.
Using the ADEXA Software, manage and make recommendations on potential inhouse capacity constraints (warehousing and transport) and shortfalls against demand in order to meet customer demand (using the monthly rolling forecasts).

Short Term Supply Planning Management
Manage the exceptions with regional supply planning, procurement, distribution and transport to ensure priorities are met and plans are executed as agreed.
Anticipate problems and constraints in plan deliver and alignment and facilitate the resolution thereof.

Stock Management
Manage national stock covers, ensuring that the minimum and maximum days target covers are set in a manner that takes into account variability of both demand and supply (ie using an appropriate inventory planning model).
Manage stock builds across the regions to ensure that customer service levels, profitability and cost targets are met.
Manage the setting of stock covers at all distribution branches.
Proactively manage national stock covers within the targeted range, stock age, slow moving and obsolete stock across all stock holding points.
Work closely with the regional planning managers and sales teams to ensure that action is taken to prevent unnecessary costs.
Using the SLA, hold the distribution centres and warehouse service providers accountable for stock management.

Replenishment Oversight
Ensure that the supply planning team manages stock throughout the network in the most cost effective manner to meet both customer service and cost
targets.
Agree and sign-off the targeted stock holding on a periodic basis (quarterly) to ensure that space requirements and service levels are sufficiently met and to manage stock builds that exceed the agreed space allocations.
Ensure, in conjunction with the branch replenishment teams, that slow moving and obsolete stocks are appropriately managed.

Sales and Operations Planning
Provide input into company-wide demand planning processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the demand planning area, particularly for
balancing the demand plan.
Work closely with the demand planning team using both the supply plan and the demand plan, to provide input into the S&OP supply process, indicating potential supply gaps that may arise against the forward forecast.
Drive the minimisation of supply gaps, as well as make recommendations on how these gaps could be closed.
Consolidate and lead the national view of supply planning as input into the S&OP process using the agreed formats.
Work closely with the warehousing and transport teams to ensure that the Vector consolidated warehousing and transport plans are appropriately compiled to meet the demand plans.
