Fulfilment Team Leader

**The Role**:
The Fulfilment Team Leader will play a crucial role in optimising daily operations at Rentoza's Johannesburg office. This key leadership position demands a highly organised and motivated individual with experience managing diverse operational functions within a fast-paced environment.The Team Leader will lead and motivate the fulfilment team, ensuring seamless processes, cost-efficiency, and continuous improvements.
**Key Role & Responsibilities**:
**Daily Operations**:
- Oversee day-to-day operations in the fulfilment centre, ensuring accurate and timely order processing, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Implement strategies to optimise warehouse efficiency and productivity
- Manage inventory levels and maintain quality control standards
- Collaborate with the Procurement department to ensure timely availability of required products
**Receiving & Inventory Management**:
- Oversee Receiving process to ensure accuracy and ensure SLAs are met
- Monitor inventory levels and update stock records as needed
- Ensure regular inventory counts are conducted and reconciliation of discrepancies are completed in a timely manner
- Ensure the warehouse is maintained in an excellent condition
- Coordinate with the procurement team to replenish stock as necessary
**Picking and Packing**:
- Manage asset assignment for all customer orders
- Ensure orders are being packaged securely and accurately, ensuring products are properly labelled and wrapped for shipping
- Ensure orders are organised correctly for pickup from courier partners or field agents
**Quality Control**:
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy before packing
- Identify any damaged or defective items and take appropriate action
- Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in all fulfilment processes
**Shipping and Logistics**:
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to arrange pickups and deliveries
- Generate shipping labels and documentation for outgoing orders
- Track shipments and update customers on order status as needed
**Customer Service**:
- Resolve any issues or concerns related to order fulfilment in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
**Overall Operations**:
- Train, coach, and mentor team members to improve performance and develop their skills.
- Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimise workflow and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and regulations
- Develop and implement operational plans and strategies aligned with overall company goals
- Lead and motivate diverse teams, fostering collaboration and communication across departments
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all functions and ensure continuous improvement
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimise efficiency and reduce costs
- Manage budgets and resources effectively
- Work closely with the Circular Flow TL to ensure continued collaboration between the Fulfilment team and Circular Flow team
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels

**Minimum Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field (strongly preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and optimising multi-faceted operations.
- Experience in a multi-site environment is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of circular economy principles and sustainable business practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement solutions to operational challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
- Experience working with technology solutions to streamline operational processes.
