Buyer Authorisation Assistant

This is a role unique to We Buy Cars and forms part of the buying department. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a drive for accuracy, and requires an energetic, dynamic, honest, loyal, and hard-working persona.
We expect you to facilitate the authorisation or rejection of irregular buying transactions, whilst building and maintaining good relationships with various stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- ** Transaction Monitoring**:
- Perform daily monitoring of transactions in accordance with the 6-month rule
- ** Vehicle Recovery** - Assist the administration department in retrieving vehicles from SAPS pounds
- ** Investigation Support** - Aid in investigations of stolen and cloned vehicles to ensure compliance with company rules and regulations
- ** Investigative collaboration** - Form relationships with ICB, SAPS, and other law enforcement agencies on high-risk transactions
- ** Industry Engagement** - Attend Vehicle Crime Forums to stay updated on developments within the vehicle crime sector
- ** Fraud Risk Reduction** - Contribute to reducing risks associated with fraudulent transactions
- ** Reporting** - Generate reports for vehicles designated for write-off or loss
- ** Stakeholder Collaboration** - Work with banks and other stakeholders to minimize risks related to vehicles with third-party interests
- ** Ad Hoc Duties** - Perform additional tasks as required by management

- Qualification: Minimum Grade 12
- Work experience: Minimum of 3 years working experience
- Age: Preferably between ages of 23 - 40

- Based at Head Office, Centurion Pretoria
- Work alternate weekends and public holidays
