**JOB PURPOSE**

To ensure efficient operations and quick dispatch of booked vessels, within all legislative and port requirements. Monitor and deal with all issues arising. Ensuring vessels full loading from all calling Ports.

**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- In the role as a Coordinator Port Operations, the successful incumbent will be exposed to and expected to do the following:

- Ensure the quick turnaround of ONE operated vessels.
- Responsible for reviewing and verifying proforma schedules and propose changes if needed Port Change of Rotation Nomination of vessels with the Port timely.
- Ensuring scheduling systems (IBIS PLUS) are timely and corrected updated.

**COMMUNICATION & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Liaise closely with GVO Global vessel operations RHQ Regional Head Quarters Vessel.
- Commands, Terminal operators and Berth planning and Husbandry agents on all aspects.
- Liaise daily with Partners only on operational discussions.
- Ensuring all stakeholders are kept duly informed of possible operational constraints such berth congestions, strike warnings, weather closures and Terminal delays.
- Working closely with all internal departments to maximise vessels and working closely with stowage planners working closely with partners for late arrival arrangements.
- Validating Dangerous Goods (DG) and reefer requirements against provided information in adherence to internal and external regulations.
- Collate and communicate all required cargo/vessel information prior to vessel arrival.
- Update port systems and communicate with partner Lines and Regional/Special Vessel Operations (RVO/SVO) as required.
- Actively keep abreast on sector and internal knowledge development.
- Send load list, COPRAR (EDI-files), manifest and DG information to the terminal operator, main line vessel operator or partner lines and port authorities if required.
- Good knowledge of operational concepts (internally and externally) and proven ability to work in adverse/rush operational condition and after hours working including weekends and holidays.
- Pushing the bar aiming for continuous improvements and cost saving in operations.
- Ability to work under pressure.

**REQUIRED SKILLS COMPETENCIES**
- 3-5 years of relevant working experience in shipping, ideally within operations and/or feeder/port environment and container flow understanding.
- Terminal operating systems experience preferred example: Navis, Powerstow etc.
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude in the work environment Working Conditions.
- Required to observe all safety and health requirements for the container terminal environment.
- Valid Driving license.
- Diligent with high standards of accuracy and detail.
- Business Awareness and commercial acumen.
- Customer Focus.
- Teamwork.
- Ability to work under pressure.
