Our client in the **construction industry** is looking for a **Procurement Clerk/Manager** to join their team based in **Kempton Park**.

**Overall Job Description**

The Procurement Clerk/Manager is responsible for managing the procurement process and ensuring the smooth operation of payables and administrative tasks within the organization. This role requires collaborating with internal teams, creditors, and stakeholders to maintain accurate records, streamline processes, and provide support to the Procurement Manager. This position is **immediate**.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
Aged Payables Cleanup:

- Collaborate with colleagues to address the disruptions in the creditors/payables process.
- Work together to achieve a 100% clean-up of the Xero Aged Payables data.
- Analyze and reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.

ApprovalMAX and Bill/PO Matching:

- Coordinate with colleagues to re-establish the functionality of ApprovalMAX and the Bill/PO matching process.
- Develop an interim policy and execution plan in collaboration with colleagues to ensure effective cleaning up of payables.
- Implement and enforce proper procedures for approving bills and purchase orders.
- Monitor the process to ensure compliance and accuracy in matching bills and purchase orders.

Administrative Support:

- Identify areas where administrative tasks can be streamlined to reduce the workload on other colleagues.
- Provide necessary support to colleagues to ease the administrative burden.
- Streamline documentation, record-keeping, and filing processes to enhance efficiency.
- Develop and maintain an organized system for managing paperwork, invoices, and other procurement-related documents.

**Qualities and Skills**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Proficient in using accounting software (e.g., Xero) and other procurement-related tools.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, creditors, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, payables management, and record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Salary**: R25 000-R30 000
