**Job Purpose**

The main objective of the Marketing Assistant is to provide a reliable and efficient service in coordinating the various tasks within the Marketing Department. The Marketing Manager will liaise with the Product Department to identify travel partners, whereby the Marketing Assistant will then ensure that these travel partners receive exposure via the various advertising mediums, promotions via our Social Media Networks, etc. The Marketing Assistant will manage the day-to-day running’s including the Job log, Mailer Schedule and assisting the Graphic Designers with all E-Mailer/Flyer/Advert proofing.

**Key Objectives**
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Designers, Digital, and Product Team, to ensure alignment of strategies.
- Staying up to date with the latest marketing trends.
- Assisting the Marketing Manager in the execution of specified marketing activations.
- Manage high volumes of quality, accurate work and meet deadlines while continuously striving to exceed expectations.
- Brainstorm and coordinate design ideas and themes along with the Marketing Manager and designers for mailers & flyers.
- Manage and maintain both the Job Log and the Mailer Schedule to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Assist the Marketing Manager in updating the Social Media Calendar with vital info such as images, package info package links, etc.
- Build relationships with the Product Team and work closely to keep your finger on the pulse of what is happening within each destination (e.g. promoting destinations where we hold alloc liability etc.).
- Ensure all top-selling destinations/products continuously receive the required exposure.
- Ensure that all Suppliers with Override Agreements receive the necessary exposure.
- Submit Packages to Travel Info on a weekly basis and ensure all Thompsons info is kept up to date at all times.
- Continuously communicate feedback & work progress to the Marketing Manager to eliminate queries and inefficiencies.
- Assist in monitoring the Thompsons Holidays website for any errors missing links/images

**Requirements**:
**Qualifications**:

- Marketing Diploma

**Minimum Experience required**:

- Minimum 3 years of working experience within a Marketing environment (Advantage if within the travel industry)
- Good Global destination knowledge
- Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint
- Knowledge of working on Canva an advantage
