An authorised financial service provider, operating within the long-term insurance industry in South Africa, requires the services of a visionary IT Auditor that is ready to contribute to the transformative journey of the business by being a catalyst in IT assurance. The position will be based at our office in Illovo.

**Tasks and responsibilities will include but not be limited to**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conducting comprehensive assessments of the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, compliance with regulations, and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute audit programs, including testing and evaluation of IT systems, infrastructure, and processes.
- Deliver clear and concise reports outlining audit findings, recommendations, and action plans.
- Collaborate and consult with other governance teams to gather information and understand the impact of IT risks on the business.
- Providing IT and data analytics expertise and the transfer of skills thereof to the Internal Audit team.
- Assisting the Internal Audit team with their data analytic requirements by sourcing data, building reports and interpreting data.
- Be committed to continued personal and professional development to ensure that his/her skills base is improved and up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging technologies, regulatory requirements and in line with the growth of the company and the profession.

**Experience required**:

- Have at least five years of IT Audit experience, preferably within the finance services industry.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of IT general controls, IT governance, IT frameworks (COBIT and ISO 27001 etc.) and industry standards.
- Proficiency in audit software and tools for data analysis and information gathering (SQL) is advantageous.

**Qualifications**:

- Post Graduate Qualification in Accounting/Auditing/IT/BSc IT
- CISA advantageous
