Paralegal Administrator

Our client, an established, growing company of over 30 years is looking to employ a Paralegal Administrator in their legal department who enjoys administrative tasks with a keen eye for detail and a pro-active approach. This person will be responsible for the legal administrative processes and report directly to Head of Legal as well as the Head of Legal Collections.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensures that the legal process is carried out i.e. 129, summons, judgements within the timelines
- Check and ensure compliance with Section 129 of NCA, and Section 86(10) if applicable
- Draft Founding Affidavit in terms of the agreement
- Draft Lost Document Affidavit (if original agreement is lost)
- Arrange delivery and collection of affidavit(s) to be signed
- Draft Notice of Motion once all documents received
- Follows up at court - default judgements & court orders
- Confirm Sheriff jurisdiction by domicilium address
- Draft instruction to Sheriff
- Follow up regarding service of Notice of Motion
- Arrange collection of Sheriff's Return of Service
- Draft Internal reports
- Arrange and/or confirm settlement negotiations and/or payment arrangements
- Draft and prepare Counsel's brief
- Liaise with Counsel
- Manages day-to-day client interaction
- Admin & Filing
**Desired Experience and Qualifications**:
- Relevant qualification
- Paralegal Diploma
- Experience in the financial recoveries environment
- Minimum three (3) years paralegal experience
- Analytical skills
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Problem solving skills
- Self-motivated
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Prioritize workload and meets deadlines
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidence and integrity
- Able to work without supervision
