Maintenance Manager

**Purpose of the Job**:
Plan, organize, coordinate and manage a team which will provide preventative and corrective maintenance services in order to ensure operational efficiency, effectiveness and uptime of the plant and equipment whilst adhering to H&S regulations. Will also oversee the management of facilities.

**Qualification & Experience**:

- Grade 12
- Degree / B Tech Mechanical Engineering
- GCC Factories Certification
- 7 years’ experience in a similar role
- Microsoft Office Suite, Relevant management software (MaintainX)

**Knowledge**:

- Excellent understanding of the oil and gas / chemical plant environment
- Good understanding of business acumen (i.e. numeracy skills, generation of profit and loss, margin)
- Excellent knowledge of Maintenance systems, processes and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety and related regulatory frameworks
- Customer Service

**Strategic Planning and Budgeting**:

- Implement maintenance management policies and standard operating procedures
- Develop monitor and review operational expenditure budgets to support maintenance activities
- Plan and schedule routine maintenance projects
- Stock of machine parts to ensure that downtime is minimised without excessive stockholding and keep asset register up to date
- Procure machine parts and consumables and ensure correct product at lowest cost without compromising quality

**Plant and Machinery Maintenance**:

- Ensure that machines are serviced according to preventative maintenance schedules
- Ensure quick response to breakages / failures to minimise downtime
- Ensure all support equipment, including forklifts, lifting equipment, pallet jacks, ladders are serviced and load tested regularly
- Secure and manage contractors for maintenance and repairs which cannot be provided in-house
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance on machines (downtime, costs, dates etc.)

**Energy and Water Maintenance**:

- Ensure that all boiler, generator and compressor systems are in good working condition with minimum downtime
- Liaise with management to ensure that water and electricity supply is constant and cost efficient and maintained
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance on energy / water systems (downtime, costs, dates etc.)

**New Installations**
- Install and set up all new machinery

**Facilities Management**:

- Perform all corrective and preventative maintenance work on the facilities
- Service and maintain generators
- Install, service and maintain irrigation system
- Service and maintain Air-Conditioning, Heat-Pumps.
- Service and maintain maintenance equipment
- Identify and recommend renovations and building development within facility
- Perform all plumbing, electrical, welding and carpentry work for the facility

**SHERQ Compliance**:

- Ensure workplace and machinery is neat and tidy at all times
- Ensure that maintenance and repair work meets government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures pertaining to regulatory guidelines
- Ensure adherence to the prescribed standard operating procedure (SOP).
- Perform risk assessments and report any safety risks to Management and mitigate
- Ensure contractors comply with safety standards
- Secure necessary certification for all work being undertaken
- Ensure all work done meets quality standards

- Identify areas of innovation that may lead to increased productivity, automation, reduced costs, time and material wastages and increased profitability
- Actively seek out and attend job related learning and development interventions

Pay: R110 000,00 per month
