**Minimum Requirements**:
- Agriculture Diploma/Degree advantageous
- At least 3 years’ experience with large scale vegetable farming
- At least 5 years’ experience managing a team in a farm environment
- Experience building, working in, or leading and interacting within a multi-disciplinary team including, farm managers, operators, agronomy technicians, business managers, and general labour.
- Experience in Farm operation and training operators
- Experience working with Agriculture equipment and machinery.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Responsible for all the activities that happen on the production site. From land preparation, planting, spraying, fertilization and harvesting.
- Planning, co-ordinating, organising and controlling all activities around the growing of crops in the production department.
- Uphold the Execution of all operational schedules. Making sure operations are timeous, effectively and execute Excellent Quality of work.
- Preparing plans and schedules for planting, spraying, land operations and harvesting and ensuring staff understands expectations.
- Manage and uphold operational Standards and Outputs. Ensuring that efficiencies of operations are withing the set KCVs
- KPI management and reflection reporting, insights, performance management, dashboards and controls.
- Manage and allocate the correct resources for all jobs and operations through upholding, best planning and Efficiencies of both man and Machines.
- Managing all the activities around all production, input resources (diesel, all seed, fertilizer, Chemicals, etc)
- Uphold and manage all production stocks, through correct processes, procedures and systems, with integrity for all resources that are within your responsibility.
- Should foster a culture that actively develops teams, through upskilling and training.
- Leads the team through motivation, high communication, influencing and guiding.
- Effectively manage HR through high engagement performance reviews with Staff, manage the Staffing Budges and Processed timeously and with high integrity.
- Uphold all HR processed and Policies Develop strategies for People Development, upskilling and training.
- Ensuring all staff adheres to health and safety regulations.
- Implement and uphold the Global GAP standards and compliance requirement for the Business, ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements are upheld.
- Facilitate meetings, trainings, and the development of quality production operators with the knowledge of pest control and how to manage Plant protection products.
- Foster a culture that upholds the Quality and Execution of Asset management, inspections and Maintenance workflow standards.
- Financial responsibility may include working within and managing a budget for planned schedules, negotiating and contracting with vendors or suppliers, assisting with budget development, and meeting financial efficiency targets.
