The Employee Data & Benefits Manager supports the People & Culture team through the management, administration, analysis, and action planning of compensation, benefits, and the HRIS System. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external resources to implement and improve compensation and benefit processes as well as co-design benefits to enhance talent retention and attraction. In all areas this role is required to identify areas of opportunity within current programs and plans; develop, evaluate, improve and communicate methods and techniques for compensating employees.

**KEY OUTPUTS**:
**Payroll Administration & Team Lead**:

- Manage and oversee monthly payroll, including payment of monthly commissions, fringe benefits, back-payments, etc.
- Ensure compliance with local legislation and labor laws
- Develop, implement, enhance and communicate payroll policies, processes and procedures
- Oversee processing and ensure timeous and correct capturing of new-hire documents, change of status forms, terminations, and all other payroll and/or benefit related documentation
- Track and audit all payroll and benefit changes for accuracy
- Compile and reconcile Payroll and Benefits billing
- Manage annual payroll audits to ensure compliance and payroll accuracy
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll questions and issues, employment verification requests and unemployment claims
- Oversee the proper and accurate processing and tracking of leave for all employees, including vacation, sick, and any other leave programs
- Manage the data integrity of company benefits and payroll records in all Benefit, Payroll, and HR Administration systems

**Benefit Administration**:

- Ensure full compliance across all plans with applicable policies and local regulations concerning employer-sponsored benefits, including:

- _Managing all medical aid and gap cover queries and audits_
- _Preparing necessary record keeping and reporting for retirement fund purposes_
- _Leveraging external partners to stay on top of all requirements_
- Manage monthly billings from any service providers and other vendors, including review billings for accuracy, codes, and advance for payment
- Develop benefits information, and statistical data for management reporting
- Assist with internal communication, promotion, and education efforts for WFS benefits
- Co-design benefits with stakeholder’s when required

**Remuneration**:

- Acts as an internal consultant to provide leadership, counsel, and support to managers and supervisors on remuneration practices and programs including job evaluation, internal equity and policy interpretation.

**MIS Reporting & Employee Data**:

- Manage the data integrity of company benefits and payroll records in all Benefit, Payroll, and HR Administration systems.
- Manage and enhance employee information and updates in all Benefit, Payroll, and HR Admin systems.
- Maintain thorough and accurate files documenting all required Payroll and Benefits information, records, and compliance data.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- BComm Finance/ HR Degree or Diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years’ experience in remuneration, data analysis, job evaluation, grading and employee benefits administration

**Additional Requirements**:

- Strong statistical, analytical and research skills
- Self-directed, detail-orientated and proactive, continually seeking ways to improve processes in the department
- High level of confidentiality and ethical conduct
- Ability to effectively deal with conflict
- Ability to negotiate with various stake holders at multiple levels
- Work well under pressure and have good communication skills.
