Senior Production / Operations Manager - Spice Blending

- Monthly Cost To Company (Market related)- A well-known and established spice blending, food processing and packaging company requires the above to manage, oversee and drive efficiencies and performance within the plant.

**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- Previous experience having worked as a production manager within the food manufacturing or meat processing, or related industry is essential for the role.
- Previous experience with ISO FSSC and managing health and safety within a factory / plant environment is preferred.
- Previous experience having worked in a unionised environment is essential.
- Previous experience having worked in a BRC accredited environment is preferred but not essential.
- Managing, driving and achieving production targets in order to support and meet sales targets.
- Optimising operational costs and ensuring quality processes.
- Driving and managing increased product income at reduced costs.
- Ensuring all operations comply with OSHA standards including alignment to the company’s health and safety and environment policy.
- Ensuring all operations and facilities comply with accreditation requirements.
- Promoting and encouraging a culture of teamwork employing best practices that benefit all employees.
- Promoting continuous improvement principles and analytical problem-solving techniques.
- Assisting with fault identification, fixing of root cause, and ensuring the accurate completion of production logs and job cards.
- Maintaining and improving product income levels through waste reduction, cost reduction and cost improvement plans.
- Managing labour, maintenance and repair costs while maintaining product quality.
- Evaluating performance against plans and determining corrective action to enhance the unit’s performance in support of sales objectives, including driving continuous improvement of existing people, processes, technologies and systems.
