**Job overview**:Matase Industrial Solutions is seeking a CFO to lead and provide a strategic direction to all the business units as well as manage its Finance division and related workstreams.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing the full finance and its related streams as well as play an oversight role on all operations of the business. The role reports into the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in Head
Office located in Alberton, Johannesburg. Travelling across various offices across the country and abroad will be required from time to time. The incumbent will also be required to work closely with executives from different units, across different offices as well as external stakeholders.

**Detailed Job Description: KEY FOCUS AREAS**

■ **Finance and Business Strategy**
- Supporting the CEO in providing significant inputs and analysis into the business strategy and operational initiatives for optimum growth.

■ **Financial and Operational Management**
- Provide strong leadership to the finance team, ensuring the function is a hands-on business partner, proactively supporting all departments.
- Oversee payroll function.
- Oversee the development and preparation of short-term and long
- term financial plans and models for the company based on broad organizational goals and objectives.
- Continuously improve the company’s internal control systems and processes to provide relevant and useful financial and operational information to the executive leadership.

■ **Finance/Technical Abilities**
- Develop, implement and evaluate strategic financing plans in consultation with the executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
- Improve the scale of the company’s use of blended financing tools and approaches to reduce the gearing risk for the company and the clients we serve.

■ **Budgeting and related Administration**
- Ensure strong financial controls alongside accurate and insightful budgeting, forecasting, KPIs and reporting processes to facilitate an effective oversight and commercial decision making.

■ **Financial foresight**
- Play a leadership role in potential merger and acquisition opportunities, including due diligence, financial modelling and negotiations.

■ **Relationship building: internal and external stakeholders**
- Mentor, develop and build talent within the finance function to support expansion.
- Provide a healthy and solution driven interaction with various stakeholders.
- Successfully build strong relations with key external stakeholders such as clients, suppliers, banks, SARS, etc
- Successfully build strong relations with internal stakeholders represented by all business units as well as their executive heads.

■ **Compliance and reporting**
- Develop and implement effective and efficient financial, tax, capital and risk planning frameworks to support and deliver the company’s strategy.
- Ensure the company adheres to all relevant industry related and statutory rules and regulations.

**Required qualifications and REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS experience**:
▪ BCom Hons essential, CA (SA) will be an added advantage.

▪ At least 7 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment at a senior managerial level, with experience from an industrial sector being an added advantage.

▪ Experience in fundraising and investor relations is key.
