Assistant Spa Manager

Assistant spa manager provides an offsite reference point for spa in high traffic areas of the hotel to increase spa awareness by giving mini hand massages, offering a cold towel and providing guests in the lobby with a spa menu.

Manages all aspects of guest service and acts as the first point of contact for all concierge and guest issues, including but not limited to follow up, feedback and concerns

Resolves and processes discrepancies on a daily basis, as necessary to include but not limited to cash gratuity distribution, cash till drops, till reconciliation

University graduate of business, hotel and restaurant management, life sciences, physiology, sports science, tourism or leisure studies

With progressive experience in fitness centre and spa operations gained over the last 5 years in a 5 star luxury property, 2 years of which would have been spent as Assistant Manager
- Fitness Centre and Spa

DOH Licensed Therapist and a certified TESDA Trainer for Massage Therapy NC II are an advantage

Instructs colleagues on specific safe work practices

To quickly assess guests needs and flexes styles appropriately

Projects a positive, professional and friendly image to the guests and colleagues
- Oversee and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Spa
- Assists Manager with administrative duties
- Conduct monthly physical retail and linen inventory in order to track health club cost of sales and ensure company assets are accurately accounted for
- Assist with researching, analyzing and making determinations regarding new equipment and amenities to ensure purchases are within budget, safety and service objectives
- Monitor inventory items to ensure proper control, the ability to facilitate guest needs and maintenance of health club standards
- Assumes training responsibilities when required
- Builds and maintains guest rapport throughout service
- Remains calm, composed and in control even in unusual situations

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Relevant certificates in somatology / business management /Hospitality & Tourism
- 5 years Experience as an assistant Spar Manager
- Well groomed and well spoken
- Work well under pressure
- Reliable transport live within the area

**Salary**: R15 000,00 - R20 000,00 per month
