**JOB PURPOSE**

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for the management and administration of the Brand Management and Public Relations component of the Marketing Division. The incumbent will oversee the development and implementation of the Marketing Strategy for the firm, defining and maintaining the company’s marketing plan.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Strategy**
- Develop and implement the Marketing Strategy for the firm and each initiative.
- Manage the implementation of the annual marketing plan and calendar of marketing activities, tracking the progress of each marketing campaign, budget, current status and results.

**Brand Management**
- Maintain and/or work with the web developer to ensure the firm’s web site content is current and search engines are maximized.
- Ensure that promotional materials are of a high quality in keeping with our brand image.
- Facilitate the disbursement of promotional materials.
- Convey a consistent brand image in all marketing platforms and collateral.
- Place follow up calls on marketing and sales literature mailed out.
- Publish new content in all digital platforms and Drive Traffic to our Website.
- Share new content (Advertorials, Articles, Advertisements and Campaigns) through our Affiliates.
- Ensure visual brand consistency across a variety of branded materials as needed, e.g. PowerPoint Presentations, Reports, and other company documentation.
- Place Advertorials and Advertisements in strategic industry publications.
- Conduct an ongoing qualitative and quantitative assessment of the market.

**Public Relations**
- Enter relevant strategic business awards and attend award ceremonies to network.
- Coordinate participation and attend Industry and Business Events to exhibit and sell products, hosting current and prospective clients as a drive for client engagement and lead generation.
- Spearhead Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives.

**Communications**
- Handle the implementation of both internal and external communications, ensuring the company’s messages are consistent and engaging.
- Manage external communication channels like social media platforms, and company website.
- Respond to communication-related issues in a timely manner.
- Compile and publish the quarterly staff newsletters.

**Events Management**
- Develop and manage the firm’s internal events calendar, tracking the progress of each event, current status and results.
- Lead the Events Committee and collaborate with other teams to implement company events to create an interesting working environment and to connect staff, such as: Wellness events, Year End Functions, etc.

**General Tasks and Duties**
- Manage external vendors, including designers, printers, and other vendors.
- Monitor the annual B-BBEE Audit Preparedness, keeping an accurate database and the necessary supporting documents of SED Beneficiaries.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by your supervisor.

**REQUIREMENTS**

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- At least 5 years’ experience in the Marketing and/or Public Relations fields.

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
- A Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Business Management, or an equivalent qualification.
