For the Markets, you have the responsibility but also the freedom to adapt global strategies to the local market. With direct access to your experienced team, you can quickly set up and implement tactics. Development of your team starts from a high level, the positive team atmosphere is a plus. You are encouraged to spend 30-50% of your time with channel partners and customers, working hands-on in addition to your management activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure additional market share and grow sales by focusing on IT solutions and services while ensuring profitability of the subsidiary
- Responsible for overall management of all accounts and product groups: blood gas, immunoassay, transcutaneous, sampler, POC-IT and the HemoCue business
- Communicate with individual accounts about opportunities and/or programs
- Provide strategic and technical planning to successfully run the territory; assure adequate sales, monitor promotions, and provide reporting
- Recruit, retain and develop results driven sales force - top grade when necessary
- Coordinate and conduct sales presentations and negotiations
- Ensure sales goals/forecasting/budget objectives are met through implementation of performance objectives programs, policies, and key messages
- Coach sales representative in and make field sales calls together with representatives to increase market share and product sales.
- Share VOC with central product and service development
- Responsible for the adherence to Danaher Business Systems (DBS) in the organization.
- P&L responsibility.
Requirements for this position
a) Formal Education
- Degree in Business/Marketing or preferably a scientific/medical background, combined with strong commercial experience. Masters preferred.
b) Competencies / Skills / Experience
- 10+ years’ relevant experience in sales, marketing, finance, training, managing corporate accounts, and general management preferably in medical capital equipment.
- Proven experience in developing innovative commercial strategies and leading both direct sales force and channel routes to market.
- Results driven, proactive and a systematic, problem-solving oriented way of thinking.
- Interpersonal skills and leadership qualities to build and lead a cohesive, focused, and motivated team.
- Can identify performance barriers and timely deliver under challenging circumstances.
- Provide credibility to strategies at all levels of country/ regional organizations.
- Adapt to changing circumstances, flexible, inter-cultural, global mindset.
- Highly developed communication skills and ability to work effectively in global setup
- Demonstrated strong strategic and analytical skills as well as solid business acumen, experience in P&L management and growth achievements.
- Record of substantial over achievement of regional targets.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and coach team to success.
- Strong Planning, Time Management, and financial acumen.
- Ability to make timely critical decisions.

- Any local South Africa language is a plus.
